ReadCloud is loaded with access to millions of classic and contemporary books that are out of copyright or creative commons licensed (FREE).
We've imported books from
- Project Gutenberg, approximately 30,000. Most are in English but you can search for other languages on http://www.gutenberg.org/catalog/world/search
- Internet Archive, approximately 1.6 million (a collaborative effort between Open Content Alliance, Microsoft and community)
- Google Books, approximately 1 million epub books are supported
- Books uploaded by members of the ReadCloud community
- Epub format supported
- Shortly to release support for PDF, txt and other formats
ReadCloud provides instant access for students to catalogue and create their own book collections:
- books are electronically available
- books can be accessed instantly without going to the library
- several students can read the same book at a time
ReadCloud is also in partnership discussions with publishers to integrate copyright protected books.
